Holiday Options

It's not only the riders who enjoy their holidays!

The Chariots of Fire Driving Centre in the Scottish Borders is an ideal location to holiday, particularly with your own horse.

The Centre has extensive stabling and grazing, a small indoor school, an outdoor ménage and driving hazards.  The surrounding area has forest rides, open fell and quite lanes, along with many activities for a non-riding companion, eg. golf, fishing, stalking (in season), walking etc.  Only an hour from both Edinburgh and Glasgow, you can enjoy the peace of a country location combined with accessibility to the big cities.

The charming old farmhouse (once the village Inn) provides excellent accommodation for up to 6 people in two double rooms and one twin, either en-suite or with adjacent private bath.  All bedrooms are tastefully furnished and have TV, clock radios, electric blankets, hair dryers, and a tea and coffee tray.  Relax in our comfortable sitting room in front of an open log fire or be driven by pony and carriage around our locality absorbing the un-spoilt views.  We offer a good selection for breakfast including our own free range eggs.

Jogging AlongChildren are welcome at the Centre with plenty of two and four legged friends to keep them occupied, ponies, Susie the carriage driving cow, ducks and chickens etc.  Riding and driving lessons with Amanda or a member of the team are available and schooling for your horse is a specialty.  Amanda is often successful with difficult horses where others have failed to achieve a result.  She is well used to working with rescued animals to bring out the best in them.
