Chariots of Fire Display Team Formations: The Chariots of Fire Display will be drawn from the following formations to create a format suitable for any size and type of show. We are flexible in how we put our Display together and can accommodate show organiser’s requirements accordingly. A pair of ponies gallop over jumps at a fast and furious speed almost throwing the driver out of the carriage. Particularly difficult is the Long Jump - a sensational example of driving skill with the carriage flying several feet high in the air and a distance often exceeding six metres. This is made even more demanding when Amanda jumps over four people!
The Quadrem is a totally unique formation of four spotted ponies exclusive to The Chariots of Fire Display Team. An extremely challenging presentation of driving, it is nail-biting to watch as they weave around various obstacles - usually people!
The Team - four ponies harnessed as a team display the skill required to accurately negotiate obstacles in a small space. was a brand new stunt for 2005. One of Amanda’s longest serving stunt ponies, Tiffany, is harnessed into the carriage the wrong way round so she is facing Amanda! She then pushes the carriage around a series of obstacles, while Amanda tries to steer using wing mirrors with some hilarious results. is a very special Galloway x Shorthorn cow! You will not see many driving cows! His personality is such that he ambles around the ring and tackles some of the stunts at his own speed, never to be a rival to the ponies, but he loves the laughter he prompts as he tries. are two rare breed Zwartbles sheep who have joined the team. They will also be making appearances as a driving pair and will, before long, be jumping!Chariots of Fire World Record Stunt - Amanda set a World Record in 1999 with her two rescued Welsh ponies, Charlie and Dini. She cleared twelve jumps in a row with just two non-jumping strides between each one - a total distance of 300 feet. form the finale of the show leaving an unforgettable impression of the huge trust that Amanda enjoys with her ponies. Charlie, Mad Mac and Mr Pie are the undoubted stars of the show. They are the fire specialists, fearless as they negotiate flaming bending poles, leap over fire jumps and through a flaming avenue of fire to complete a breath taking performance that will enthrall any crowd.
